So, here it is; the big launch!..."Go, go Gadget Website", or if you are a little older, "Thunderbirds are Go!" Is there are a modern equivalent? If there is it was probably sung by Baby Shark.
I'm new to blogging, if you can't tell already, and the thing that is striking me straight away, is that I'm never quite sure what is going to flow from my mind, through my fingers, and onto the keys before I sit down. This might be apparent judging by that first paragraph!
I will endeavour, in future, to have some semblance of a plan (maybe even a point or two), before I commit thoughts to electronic symbols. Fortunately, today's is an easy, and short, one.
I'll be posting on Facebook, as things develop with 'Yes. No. Sorry. I love you.' but more and more, I'll be updating this website. So please have a look around and let me know what you think. I've added a page about themes contained within the book, so if you've read it, you might like to read that for some of my perspective on the story. If you haven't read the book yet, there aren't any spoilers, so it'll give you a taste of what to expect.
As I was feeling the need to do something a little extra, as it's the launch, I am happy to say that I've started working on my second book. I've provisionally titled it, 'Connecting the doubts', and I am also happy (twice in one day) to offer you, exclusively, although it's still a draft, the first chapter. The story is going to be about two women, who have been life-long friends, but because of their different family situations, lifestyles, interests etc. they have both felt, but not acknowledged, a gradual drifting apart of their relationship. Then a series of events on a night out leads to an almighty implosion, which their friendship may, or may not, recover from. (Just to quickly add that there is some bad language in this - I'm not trying to be edgier, after my relatively gentle first story, but I am just reflecting the fact that sometimes people swear when they're pissed off. :))
Thank you, and I hope you have a great day.
Alex
Looking for information on your other books, any chance of putting something on here.
Thanks for the shout out, my friend! Way to go on your website; it's coming along nicely. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to reading more blogs! Especially, on nights like these when I can't sleep. Reading is always my first to turn to. =)
